Michel André is a University Professor at the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya, BarcelonaTech, Director of the Laboratory for Applied Bioacoustics, President of The Sense of Silence Foundation, and a Rolex Awards laureate. He is an International Fellow of The Explorers Club. His research focuses on the development of acoustic technologies for biodiversity monitoring in marine and terrestrial environments.
