Article 1 — Preamble
This privacy policy is intended to inform users of the mission-neptune.com website and its save-the-date.mission-neptune.com landing page:
- of the way in which their personal data is collected — personal data is understood as any information allowing a user to be identified: surname, first name, age, postal or email address, telephone, organisation, position, location, IP address (non-exhaustive list);
- of the rights they have regarding this data;
- of the person responsible for processing the personal data collected and processed;
- of the recipients of this personal data;
- of the website's policy on cookies and audience measurement.
This policy supplements the legal notice available in section 1 of this document.
Article 2 — Principles relating to the collection and processing of personal data
In accordance with article 5 of European Regulation 2016/679 (GDPR), personal data is:
- processed lawfully, fairly and transparently with regard to the data subject;
- collected for specified (cf. Article 3.1), explicit and legitimate purposes, and not further processed in a manner incompatible with those purposes;
- adequate, relevant and limited to what is necessary in relation to the purposes for which it is processed;
- accurate and, where necessary, kept up to date; every reasonable step is taken to ensure that inaccurate data is erased or rectified without delay;
- kept in a form which permits identification of data subjects for no longer than is necessary for the purposes for which it is processed;
- processed in a manner that ensures appropriate security, including protection against unauthorised or unlawful processing and against accidental loss, destruction or damage.
Processing is lawful only if at least one of the following conditions is met: consent of the data subject; performance of a contract or pre-contractual measures; compliance with a legal obligation; protection of vital interests; public interest mission; or legitimate interests pursued by the data controller.
Article 3 — Data collected and processed when browsing the website
Article 3.1 — Data collected and purposes
As part of registration for the Mission Neptune Forum and browsing on save-the-date.mission-neptune.com, the following personal data may be collected:
- surname, first name;
- email address;
- phone number;
- date of birth (where applicable, for access controls);
- postal address;
- professional qualification / position;
- title;
- company or affiliated organisation;
- industry sector.
The collection and processing of this data serves the following purposes:
- registration and management of Forum sign-ups;
- compilation of attendance lists;
- coordination of presence and content (sessions, workshops, speakers);
- ticketing management;
- issuance of access badges;
- sending of communications related to the event or to topics carried by Mission Neptune;
- management of cancellations and changes.
Legal basis: consent (article 6.1.a GDPR) for communications related to topics carried by Mission Neptune; performance of pre-contractual and contractual measures (article 6.1.b) for the management of the registration.
Article 3.2 — Method of collection and automatically collected data
When browsing the website, the following technical data may be automatically collected: IP address (anonymised when the audience solution permits), browser type and version, operating system, pages viewed, timestamps, referrer. This data is kept for a maximum of 13 months.
Registration data is kept for 1 year from the end of the Forum to allow post-event management (certificates, reporting, follow-up communications). Some data may be kept beyond that to comply with legal or regulatory obligations (accounting, tax).
Article 3.3 — Data hosting
The save-the-date.mission-neptune.com website is hosted by Netlify, Inc. (512 2nd Street, Suite 200, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA), whose global CDN infrastructure includes European points of presence. The transfer of data outside the EU relies on the standard contractual clauses (SCCs) and the DPA published by Netlify, in accordance with articles 46 et seq. of the GDPR.
Registration data entered via the forms is processed within the European Union by the subprocessors designated by WMH Project (ticketing platform, event CRM, Brevo for transactional email). The list of subprocessors can be provided on request to the DPO.
Article 3.4 — Recipients of the data
The data is intended for the internal services of Mission Neptune and WMH Project in charge of organising the Forum, as well as for its technical subprocessors (hosting, emailing, ticketing). No data is transferred or sold to third parties for commercial purposes.
Article 3.5 — Cookie policy
The save-the-date.mission-neptune.com website uses only cookies strictly necessary for its operation (for example, retention of language choice or status of the consent banner), which are exempt from consent within the meaning of article 82 of the French Data Protection Act.
If audience measurement or third-party cookies were to be added, a consent banner compliant with CNIL recommendations would be displayed and the user's prior consent obtained.
Article 4 — Data controller and Data Protection Officer
Article 4.1 — Data controller
Personal data is collected by WMH PROJECT, SAS with capital of €414,064.20, registered with the Nanterre RCS under number 402 423 420, with registered office at Tour Alto, 4 Place des Saisons, 92400 Courbevoie, France.

Article 4.2 — Data Protection Officer
The Data Protection Officer (DPO) of WMH Project is Fabien Sinet — dpo@wmhproject.fr.
If, after contacting WMH Project, the user considers that their "Data Protection" rights are not respected, they may submit a complaint to the Commission Nationale de l'Informatique et des Libertés (CNIL) — 3 place de Fontenoy, TSA 80715, 75334 Paris Cedex 07, www.cnil.fr.
Article 5 — User rights
In accordance with European Regulation 2016/679 and the French Data Protection Act (Law 78-17 of 6 January 1978 as amended), every user has the following rights:
- right of access, rectification and erasure (articles 15, 16 and 17 GDPR);
- right to portability (article 20);
- right to restriction (article 18) and to object to processing (article 21);
- right not to be subject to a decision based solely on automated processing;
- right to set directives concerning the fate of data after death;
- right to lodge a complaint with the CNIL (article 77).
These rights can be exercised by contacting the DPO at dpo@wmhproject.fr. To process the request, it may be necessary to provide certain information enabling the identity of the requester to be established (surname, first name, registration email).
Article 6 — Modification of the privacy policy
WMH Project reserves the right to modify this policy at any time to ensure that users of the website remain in compliance with applicable law. Any changes will not affect registrations previously made on the website, which remain subject to the policy in force at the time of registration.
The user is invited to consult this policy each time they use the website. This policy was issued on 14 April 2026.
