Founder, Voice of the Ocean; Mission Neptune Patron

Carl Douglas is a Swedish entrepreneur and ocean advocate, serving as Patron of Mission Neptune. He is the founder of the Voice of the Ocean Foundation (VOTO), that works to advance marine science and ocean literacy through science, education, and storytelling. With more than three decades of experience in ocean exploration, he has contributed to scientific expeditions around the world, including the discovery of the Swedish DC-3 aircraft. VOTO, founded in 2019, focuses on ocean observation, educational outreach, and international collaboration, with a particular focus on the Baltic Sea, a vulnerable ecosystem closely affected by human activity. He is also involved in initiatives across other ocean regions globally. His work is guided by the belief that a better understanding of ocean systems supports effective stewardship and long-term resilience.
