Hon. Emelia Arthur, a Yale World Fellow and accomplished public servant, brings a wealth of expertise to her role in government as the Minister for Fisheries and Aquaculture of Ghana. She is a Member of Parliament of Ghana representing the Shama Constituency, a fishing community in the Western Region. Notably, Hon. Arthur has worked with key international organizations such as FAO, World Bank, the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), and the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN), while also serving in advisory roles to the President of Ghana. Her involvement with initiatives like The Balaton Group, OSIWA, and the Forest and Farm Facility (IUCN/IIED/WB) underscores her commitment to sustainable development. She has facilitated training for international volunteer organizations and presented insightful papers on leadership, gender policies, and development at various global forums.
