Dr. Marina Levy, a renowned ocean scientist working for CNRS at LOCEAN, in Paris, is the director of the Sorbonne University Alliance Ocean Institute. An expert on the ocean’s role in the climate system and biodiversity, she is internationally recognized by her peers for her long-term work on the interactions between turbulent ocean currents and marine biology. She is deeply engaged in ocean literacy, public awareness, scientific blue diplomatie, public-private partnerships and corporate outreach on ocean-related challenges. She is the co-lead of the Starfish Barometer, the first global ocean health bulletin devoted to the general public
