Dr Anthony Rea is the Senior Director, Earth System Data and Prediction with WMO. In this position he has responsibility for coordinating standards and requirements for global observations, data exchange and global modelling to support the service delivery of WMO Members. These responsibilities cover weather, climate, water, the oceans and the cryosphere. Dr Rea has three decades of experience across remote sensing, in-situ observation, data policy and data exchange. He has previously worked for the Australian Bureau of Meteorology, WMO (as the former director of Infrastructure) and as a private consultant. He has a PhD in meteorological remote sensing from RMIT University and a Masters in Public Administration from the Australia and New Zealand School of Government.
